Just as we were settling into the "Chemo Lounge" on the 4th floor of the COM Building at the Salem Hospital, this beautiful rainbow appeared. The State Capitol with it's golden 'Statesman' can be seen as well as Waller Hall with it's cupola on the Willamette University campus. I don't recall ever seeing a rainbow so vibrant with each band of color very distinct. We welcomed it as a sign of hope.

A jet trail over the moon. This was the waxing crescent from about a week ago. (Not too bad for hand-held.)

We have been having beautiful sunsets lately. We never noticed these as much before our trees were taken down by the ice. Now we have a more open view toward the SW.

Fog filtered the almost-full moon as it rose.

Changing Weather

While out shopping, I noticed this dramatic weather change when I emerged from a store, from pleasant blue skies to chilly, biting wind and rain. Now I understand what the weather people mean by a 'front' moving in!

A Lucky Break

There were occasional sunbreaks during the rain on Saturday. One lit up this beautiful tree and just as I aimed my camera, I noticed the rainbow! What a lucky break.
