It's actually a maple tree in the backyard that had the whole top broken out by the heavy ice storm in December. It looks like it's going to survive though it looks pathetic right now.
I think your close-ups of buds on branches are the best I have ever seen.
Love the touches of color against all the brown of the branches/twigs.
