Heroic Presidential Candidate

I'm sharing a few photos from a visit to central Oregon. This plaque sits unassumingly under some majestic Ponderosa Pines in Drake Park in Bend, Oregon. Mr. Johns' was nominated by the Socialist Labor Party. (Herbert Hoover won the 1928 election.)

And a personal hero. My Dad at 4 and 84, standing in the same place.

I miss you Dad.

It's really fun to have photos of the same person in the same location separated by all those years! Your dad is still standing as straight at 84 as he was at 4 :)

Wow, I've never heard that story before. What cute pics of your Dad. I'm so sorry for your loss. The anniversary days are always so difficult. Hugs! Cindy
