Beware

I don't know who's idea this was, but it can be a little disconcerting when unexpected. Lurking downtown in the alley around the corner from Whitlock's on Court St.

The grasshopper is a metal sculpture by Wayne Chabre of Walla Walla, Washington. He is my sister's brother-in-law and has done many sculptures at the University of Oregon. Gargoyles are on one of the buildings and there are some on the Arichitecture building and outside in the flower beds of the library.
