I grew up in Salem and have recently started "reading" your photo blog in the hopes of seeing shots of things that I remembered. Sure enough, I remember the camels. (And many other things, of course.)
Just found this shot because a friend wrote about camels and I wondered if you ever posted a photo of the ones in Salem. Yeah! This is an absolutely wonderful photo.
I remember years ago telling Dr. Erion at Keizer Vet about the camels that I passed on my way to appointments with pets. He asked me if they were dromedaries and I didn't have a clue!
