House to Office

Salem has many older houses all over town which have been converted to offices. These two houses of the Bungalow or Craftsman styles (correct me if wrong) on Liberty St. SE are beautiful examples.

Wow, those are restored nicely. We have some like that in our town, but some others that are just falling apart even though they're housing businesses. A certain halfway house comes to mind...

I like when offices inhabit older houses, as the business district expands. It's so much better than the new business buildings that get built, as a rule. My doctor in a previous town used a solid old foursquare with all sorts of turn-of-the-century woodwork and built-ins (now housing files, and lab kits, and things). It was so homey.

These two have a very Northwest feel, to me.

They do look like Bungalows. It's great they are being put to good use and kept up so well. Lovely shot.

We have quite a few of these conversions near our downtown area too. I like them.
