This is a great time of year to take horizon photos. During the cold months there is less haze ... The sunrise accents Mt. Hood beautifully.

It must be delightful to live in this place where you can gaze on Mt Hood regularly. The layered look of the sky really makes the photo!

Marvellous. I was just longing for a lovely colorful sky like this & to get Mt. Hood too!
(PS - I really liked your "Where are you going my little one..." thought on my son's b-day flight.)

Thanks Denton, I hadn't thought of that. At least sunrise is later these days!

Jilly -- thanks for your visit and compliments!!

Thanks MK and instanbul, and Al!

Kate - I do have to walk to the top of the hill, but it is glorious to see!

Tash - glad you got to see this pretty sky. Yes, the years roll by all too quickly.

beautiful watercolor sky. Curious, why Amplified Bible over NIV or other translation? I need a new Bible.

Wonderful capture, Jill! We are indeed blessed to have our volcanic peaks to gaze upon. Mt Baker and Mt. Rainier are also about sixty miles from Port Townsend.
