Today was enough above freezing that most of our snow melted. I have a bird feeder right outside my computer window and my sweet husband was kind enough to wipe down the outside so I could photo the birds as they came and went. I did not realize how difficult it is to photograph birds. They were in constant motion, twitching and turning. Just as I focused and pressed the shutter, off they would go. After trying every setting on my camera and about a hundred shots, I finally got one that was more than just a blur.

This is exquisite, jill.
This little guy is so precious. I have a bird feeder right outside my window too. Birdwatching is one of my favorite activities. You did a great job on this photo!
A window with views of a bird like this would be a lovely dream for me...trouble is if I had such a window I don't think I'd get any work done on the PC!!
Great photo Jill
And it IS the PERFECT photo! You should have that made into greeting cards.
Have you ever done that with your photos? Shutterfly.com can make notecard size and greeting card size. Or, you can buy the cards for photo's and add the photo yourself.
Just BEAUTIFUL!
How pretty!! Great shot
He's so sweet with his little head bowed. Fabulous catch.
Jill, I am replying to the comment you left about the fudge...
I just use the Fantasy fudge recipe on the back of the Kraft Marshmallow Creme jars. Been using that recipe for eons - and it turns out perfect every time. I will most probably make it over the next couple of days and will post the recipe, in case you can't find it.
Cheers!
Oh, what a shot!!Shots like that are so worth waiting for. I love the look on the birds face and how its sitting there all puffed up and you can see all of its lovely feathers.
Well done you!
I love the "redwood" brown color with the green and white. As you know, we've been having days when when I wish I had feathers to cover my legs and feet with!
Glad you didn't give up, this shot is awesome, Jill!
Beautiful bird and composition!
