Today is theme day for the City Daily Photo community. This month's theme is 'circle/sphere'.
The round glass in the windows in the round, turreted tower, I believe are original. Now the Globe Travel business, this is the Capital National Bank building which I previously featured [here], and [here].
An old photo of the building before the street-level front was mutilated 'modernized' can be seen [here].
187 City Daily Photo bloggers are participating in this months theme day. [Click here to view thumbnails for all participants].

Wonderful old building, indeed! That very unique window certainly is a great piece for the theme today, Jill.
An excellent choice for December's theme, Jill!! Beautiful!
This window is fascinating and very beautiful! A perfect choice for theme day!
Great choice for today and thanks for the link to the original building. How lovely it is - was! This is such a different window in a beautiful building.
Looking up for circles...I haven't seen much of that perspective yet today in my blog travels..
Gorgeous capture. Love the colors, the texture -- and the glass, of course. :)
I worked in that building in the late 1980s. It's fascinating on the inside as well.
I featured a window with this kind of motif many months ago and someone told me how they were made them but I've forgotten the details.
The blue circles remind me of the amulets used in the Near East to "ward off the evil eye"! Too bad they didn't protect the building.
I like all of the circles. It reminds me of a go-go girls skirt.
I love it.. the curved turret and the round circles of glass in the window.. beautiful..
Good choice.
I like it- I forgot the 1st day thing again!! :(
Always so lovely to see that building - but you've found a treasure for Theme Day too. So well photographed.
Interesting perspective. Did you take you shot from a building across the street? Thanks for including a link to a photo before restoration.
Thanks everyone. Sorry for the late response.
Hyde -- I don't know myself. I hope to get into the building someday for a little tour.
Elaine -- so true.
Jim - lol!!
Denton -- I did take this from across the street, but from the sidewalk.
My children were fascinated by this window -- they were hard-pressed to believe it was made of glass. Very striking.
I missed Theme day but I LOVE yours!
