And now my backyard...

I had thought by this time I would be all over town getting lots of bright, colorful Christmas shots. Perhaps the 'arctic blast' will be over very soon and I will be able to do so.

I think things have gotten worse as the week has gone on for those of us in Salem. Ack! I posted some photo's of all the snow and ice on our Mulligan Stew blog. The snow was fun for the first few days - and it IS beautiful. But, I have things to do!!!! We're hoping to head out to some stores a little later this morning. Keep your fingers crossed!

I am stuck in Salem by this storm! It is beautiful to see the ice on the branches, but I'm ready to go home (Oregon coast -- I dare not even think about Rt. 20.)

I always enjoy your photos. Thanks, Jill!

I'm stuck at home, too, really by choice...no need to venture out on snowpacked and icy roads. Thanks for sharing your view.

"arctic blast"... thats so funny. That is what ALL the news stations keep calling it. I dont see any melting for a while still. I am still snowed/iced in here in Gresham.

Well, someone is enjoying your snowy shots -- me! We've had no snow at all here. I like the way you've composed the elements in this one. Looks like you could use Snapper's woodshed.

It must be frustrating to be stuck inside with so much to do before Christmas but at least the view is beautiful.

Hi Jill - just wanted you to know that I published the fudge recipe yesterday afternoon... not too long before we lost power for the remainder of the day. Fun!

I know how you feel...we didn't get the amount of snow you have had, but the temperature has been bitter. Merry Christmas!

Bright, colorful Christmas lights are lovely, but what you've given us recently from Mother Nature in her showy white dress is marvelous, Jill. Thank you!
Wish you and your family a very happy Christmas and a great new year.

Merry Christmas, Jill! I hope you have a wonderful day full of love and laughter!

(I hope you managed to finish all your errands too and didn't get too stressed about it.)

Hi Jill - Just checking in on you. It's so unusual for you to not post for so many days. Perhaps you've gone to visit family for the holidays? I hope you are OK and that you didn't have any damage from all our snow and ice.

Merry Christmas & Happy New Year.
