That is a long, beautiful driveway. It must be a challenge on a cold morning to go fetch the newspaper before the first cup of coffee.
Holy moly Jill, these are some stunning photos! What camera are you using?
Ah, this reminds me of a place we once stayed in Italy. Can your part of Oregon be anything like the Casentino valley in Tuscany?
Jill, I've been looking around your blog and it seems to me that you definitely are a photographer, though your sidebar claims you are not.
Thanks so much for coming to take a look at my blog, and for all your comments. And especially, thank you for those pictures of sidewalks in Sugar Grove, Ohio! I've decided to keep them my little secret around here, for now.
That's gorgeous Jill. What a great neighbourhood.
Where are the deer? Very nice, it makes me want more!!
Beautiful, these photos, Jill, especially the one with the red house!! A wonderful atmosphere!
Just found your blog and I think it's great. I was born in Salem, raised in Portland, but now all my family is back in Salem so it's home to me. Great Photos!
Aaaah, such a beautiful place to walk & so beautifully photographed - love the shafts of light coming thru. & the barn yesterday is superb - did you consider doing a calendar?
David - I can't even see the house from the road.
KM -- wow what a compliment coming from you. I am such a beginner. I have been lurking though around yours and others blogs and picking up inspiration. I have a Canon S5.
MK - Thank you so much. I have only traveled to Italy with Samantha Brown! I think here is very different terrain, but beautiful as well. Who would have ever thought when I took those photos that they'd be a match for walks in Lexington VA??
Wayne thanks. It is a nice little valley.
KC -- thanks. I wish I had a thimble full of your photo know-how. For some reason we don't see them as often this time of year though they still walk through every day. And sadly, we found one the other day that had been hit and was lying near our mailbox.
BN - thanks so much!
Thanks Red Dahlia - I'm so glad you came for a visit and hope you will again.
Tash - thanks so much. No I haven't but that sounds interesting. Not sure I have 12 really good photos though.
Thanks all, I really appreciate your encouraging comments.
I bet this walk has a lovely smell!
what quite magnificent trees.
I love trees like this when they grow nice and tall. Makes me feel like I am going back in time.
What a nice shot! I love the way the light is coming through the trees.
