Bountiful Blessings

We in the U.S. celebrate Thanksgiving Day on the 4th Thursday of November. Our family enjoys the traditional meal of roasted turkey, stuffing, pumpkin pie, etc. We give thanks this day and every day for an abundant table and try not to forget those around the world whose table is sparse or empty. Feed the Children is one of many wonderful programs that make a difference.

Happy Thanksgiving blessings to all. If you celebrate Thanksgiving, do you have turkey, or duck, or ham, or goose, or tofu?

Those wood illuminations are lovely. We always have turkey, but not a whole bird (dark meat is especially good). We'll have yams, and squash, and greens, and pie. The holiday has become a personal time between my mom and me.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Thank you for your comment on my blog.. Today's post is a quilt for you.

Of course you may travel vicariously with me.. I'll try to share.. I have no definite plans, other than to see the French version of Grease, and spend many hours in the Louvre and other museums. Thanks to Peter, there are bridges to walk and a river to cruise.

When my friend arrives, we will go to Versaille. Other than that, I'm open to whatever Paris offers.

Great (natural?) lighting in that picture! PS: Turkey.

Thanks all and I hope you had a beautiful day.

Yes, that was natural lighting. I was dusting and noticed the low late afternoon sun casting long shadows through the window.

The warmth of the light, woods, colors all pulled me right in. Lovely blog and great camera work throughout!
Mostly its turkey we choose for Thanksgiving, although once it was crab curry (special request from a daughter.) :)

Like everyone, I love the light in this. (It's usually afternoon light raking across our dining table that reminds me that I need to dust.)

We have a poultry allergy in our family, so we have ham or lamb. Every Thanksgiving I am thankful for that poultry allergy.

Some other offshore finance job relevant editorial could be discovered at: Recruitment in Offshore Article Once you have been invited to an interview you must get ready to create the image of someone they will surely want to hire above all other job applicants. Along these same lines, try and give yourself some "me" time once a week. Once a week may not seem like much, but if you really allow yourself to soak it in and enjoy the time spent, it will make the stress of all of the rest of the hectic days melt away. Take a good block of time on a Saturday or Sunday - 2 hours, maybe - and mark this time in your calendar in pen, not pencil. Keep a standing appointment with yourself, and honor it as you would any other. Think you are too busy on a weekend to do this? You will feel much more productive the rest of the weekend allowing yourself this little refresher', rather than trying to cram some time in on a random Tuesday or other weeknight. For this special time, you can book a massage or a facial at your favorite spa. Take a couple of hours to go window shopping at your favorites stores, by yourself or with a friend. Take in a matinee with a couple of girlfriends. If your husband is willing to fly solo on a Saturday night, you can even book a girls' night out once in a while and truly let loose! Even if your budget doesn't allow for these activities once a week, you can lock yourself in the bathroom with a good book, a bubble bath and a nice glass of wine and feel good about your time alone - you deserve some!
