Picnic in the Park

Family, a beautiful afternoon, nothing like a picnic in the park. Caught this shot at Riverfront Park. The only reason this is so green is because it is watered. Most lawns and around our house are crispy, dried brown.

Très vert ! Chez nous c'est très vert aussi car il pleut souvent. Je crois que je préfère la pluie au soleil écrasant ....

Walking on green grass in the early morning hours helps eye to be healthy.

Hi Jill - My sister, who lives in Salem, sent me a link to your site. I am hoping to move to Salem soon and she knew it would be inspirational for me to see your beautiful pictures and read about Salem life. I'll be checking back frequently and know I'll enjoy all your posts.

We water, water, water here in Boise for a lush front lawn. It's always been interesting to me that in many parts of OR, dried, crispy, brown is O-K in the summer. We'd get a nasty letter and maybe a fine from the HOA.

It does look like a nice spot for a gathering. Sorry about the other lawns. We've been having 3 times the rain we normally get and everything looks as though it were May.

That looks so refreshing...even the trees are thick and lush. My garden is quite brown now except for a patch we keep watered.
