The Salem Saturday Market was a lovely setting for Patti C., a recent graduate of North Salem High School. Her flute sounds floated about like the breeze as she played with a black top hat at her feet for tips. I was so busy taking her photo, I neglected to do so. Hopefully she will be there again and I will make amends. She is headed to the University of Oregon in Eugene this fall. The best to you Patti as you embark on this next chapter of your life.

An enterprising young woman who will do all right in the world. I've always wanted to play the flute or piccolo!
How exciting! A new life for her is to begin!
Jill, what a wonderful blog you have! Lovely pics!
very nice!:) And I like the lot of flowers behind her
I've never seen a flute player playing for tips, I would have tipped a dollar into her hat.
I agree with Boise, I would have given a tip just because she was playing a flute. Thats hard to play.
c'est une bonne idée ce petit concert pendant que les gens font leurs marchés.
this is a good idea this small concert while people do their markets.
Terrific post! I can almost hear her playing from here! What initiative!
