This fellow was all over the Willamette River on his jetski, between Riverfront Park on the East and Wallace Marine Park on the West. He looked a little reckless to me but I guess he was pretty good steering clear of others also enjoying a day on the water. And I'm sure there are lots of ladies who like this sport as well!

Le hors-bord ne me plaît pas beaucoup. Mais le canoë rouge est sympa (delightfull)
Personally, I'd prefer paddling in the canoe. ;-) I wonder if there are many boys out on jet skis this year, considering the price of gas.
At least he was wearing a lifejacket - many of the jet-skiers round our way don't even protect themselves, let alone worrying about the other people around them!

You were very polite with your observances. I once attended a wedding along that river in Portland. A very expensive, beautiful wedding with a four-string quartet playing softly....and then, during the "I dos" - a couple of jet skiers drowning everything out. The wedding planners didn't expect that.
Greetings from a fellow Oregonian. I'm glad to discover a Salem blog. I attend meetings in Salem often so I'll have a search through your blog to find places to get a few quick shots.
Jet Skiing looks like fun... for the young and the spry :)
I agree with eg...I think the canoe looks more like my thing!
